Ok well I finished the TV series (spoilers) and I watched End of Evangelion,
and I must say both endings were disappointing, I'm not sure which more so. I
guess I prefered End of Evangelion, it at least had a LITTLE more closure.
I've been looking at a lot of fan sites and my theories seem to fall in line
with most peoples, although some MAJOR questions seem to be unanswered (I paid
close attention!). For one, what the hell ARE the Angels REALLY? I know they
are possible routes humanity could've taken, but what the hell does that mean?
Where do they come from, where have they been hiding out, how were they
created, why were they attacking? I was hoping for all of those answers. I
think when it comes down to it, I just have to accept that Eva is more about
the characters than the plot, and that the realizations the characters made by
the end of the series were what the director really wanted to convey, not the
details of the Angels. I wish I'd found out more about Rei though. Oh well.
