Why in halo 2 does it take me five 5 hits to pummel someone to death when...

...everyone else just does it once? Most of the time when im about to beat down someone in halo 2, it takes me like 5 hits before they finally go down. However, when someone does it to me, they hit me once and i die, even with full armor and im not just talking about a sneak attack from behind?

Probably due to the fact that your hitting them in the arm or another low damage area. Try to aim for the head, because in most fps games, a lot of the damage caused is due to where you aim.

I too have this issue sometimes, its just bad luck, power armor, or just plain noobishness. ^^
