Socata RPM on Decent

Good day all

Has anybody noticed that the Socata's RPM is still quite high (around
2500RPM) on decent even with the throttle closed or almost closed ? Maybe I
have a setting wrong or maybe that's how it is supposed to be?. I would
appreciate any help as I usually fly 'heavies' and therefore have little
experience of prop characteristics.

Did anyone fly the College Park to North Philadelphia training flight in the
current PC Pilot mag, it says use the Monney Bravo, But methinks the Socata
is better.
