Default Weird FS2004 Registry entry - C07ft5Y

I've been poking around my machine to try and find any reason why FS9
behaves so badly on my 1.3Mhz/512Meg RAM/ATI 9600 Pro machine. So far, no
answer, but I have found another question, namely, why did I did find a
Registry entry for FS9 that reads C07ft5Y . There's very little on Google
about this entry - except that it has been associated with TurboTax spyware
C-Dilla.

Anyone else have this entry out there? Anone know what it does/doesn't do?
Is it safe to delete?

The CDilla licencing causes a major slowdown to your computer because it
runs two services. CDilla64 and CDILLA10. Since CDilla10.exe is a 16bit
application, it has to run NTVDM and wowexec.exe (windows 3.1 on windows
emulation)

To remedy this problem, simply delete CDilla10.exe from your WINNT directory
on win2000 or WINDOWS dir on XP. NOTE: This isn't a crack, the CDilla64 is
still doing its job. Once you restart your computer you'll enjoy the free
clock cycles. If you would like immediate reslults follow these steps: Press
'CTRL+ALT+DEL' on your keyboard. Select the 'Processes' tab in your 'Windows
Task Manager' then 'Right Click' with your mouse the process name 'NTVDM'
and select 'End Process' from the menu. Tip collected from:
http://support.discreet.com/webboard/wbpx.dll/~3dsmax /Tips and
Tricks/Improve Performance

As for the registry entry, copy it, then delete it.

If it causes problems, put it back in, if not leave it out.

Default Weird FS2004 Registry entry - C07ft5Y

I run Adaware & Spybot. I guess my question was - why are M$ doing this?
I'm a little frustrated with them at this point - having just spent a full
35 uselss minutes talking to some script-following persons in India who
couldn't help me - I got asked the most elementary questions (e.g. when I
said I had an AMD 1.4 and 512 RAM they said "Is that 1.4Gigahrtz & 512Mb?)
.. Still can't get FS9 to go past the splash screen - and am now ready to
take my ATI 9600 back to Fry's.

If you have done a full install then try using the cd/fix file that will let
you run FS2004 without the CD in the drive, it has worked for some people.

Think I have seen the file on www.simviation.com

heres an idea......
download a demo of alchohol 120%, and rip an image of your disk 4.
then, download daemontools, and mount your image on a virtual drive.
hey presto! should be no more hassles loading your disk 4 ever again.
that cdilla is a checker.
installing certain software installs that, so it can keep an eye on on the
progs associated with it.
if you delete cdilla out, chances are the prog associated with it wont work
either.
i think i have 2 or 3 bits of software that are watched over by cdilla.
never really bothered to look up what it does, but spybot isnt down for
deleting it, so.....

Thanks. The products you suggested worked like a champ - but even after
doing what you suggested (and having cleaned up my Registry) I still
haven't got the d**** game to work, It goes back to M$ tomorrow.

Thanks for taking the time to try and help. Much appreciated.
