donbutts wrote: Aside from some cosmetic changes to the model itself, the crucial areas that needed to be addressed were the following: 1) Aircraft flight dynamics. I had to slide the entries in TBL404 of the .air file to the right to account for the loss of the wing_incidence and wing_AoA parameters, and make extensive changes to the empty_weight_CG and station_load entries to correct an debilitating COG instability. 2) Some gauges had to be rebuilt since XML gauge code no longer supports dual-res textures the way it used to. I actually replaced those gauges with C coded ones. Also, the loss of the TOGGLE_AFTERBURNER_X k:event in non-jet a/c means that the late Bill Morad's "trick" to provide a sound interface for XML gauges no longer will work. In fact, attempting to click on a guage with that code will cause a sim crash. 3) Replacement of the "old" GPS with the new Garmin 500 GPS, and the elimination of the "fake" KMD550 display. So far I am very impressed w/the looks of this plane but cannot comment on its flyability. It crashes FS9 evertime I try to click on the fuel tank (on/off) switch? "Bill Leaming" <n4gix@comcast.net> wrote in message news:3F57459B.D947E414@comcast.net... of as (hover box. |

Ok I used autostart (ctrl-E) to get past the fuel selector issue and tried to fly this plane. After 10 tries I crashed 10 times on the runway! It seems to be behaving exactly as John Grabowski described, constant stalling and unable to achieve level flight. I also tried using the take-off procedure described by Bill Leaming and the result was a smooth takeoff (plane lifted off by itself) followed by a severe climb then the subsequent stall while trying to correct this and the inevitable plummet back to earth! I am un-able to fly this plane? It's the only plane in FS9 that I am having trouble with, and I have installed every plane available on Avsim. I havn't loaded the A/C yet but wonder if I'll have the probs experienced below?? With you at the helm I'm sure it will all be sorted. Yeah, ..so thanks for that and also for all that clever production work, free, for our benefit. Don B. |

Don Parker wrote: Don, in case you didn't read the docs <cough, cough!>, that honking BIG panel is deliberately designed to be "slid down" to improve your forward view! Just grab any blank spot on the panel, and move it down until the "3d view" stops. IOW, put the top of the panel so that it *just* covers the "black" at the bottom of the 3d outside view... ![]() Yes, the center console is still tough to see around, but it makes a *dandy* aid for lining up the rwny! Simply make the rwny parallel to the left side of the center console for a perfect alignment. Obviously, flying a "right pattern" is a bit more problematic, but in that case, simply jump in the "right seat" by switching to the P2 panel and sliding it downwards as well. Bill -- Fr.
