Oh, crap! That's the one gauge I missed working over... <sigh>

Short term solution, don't use it. The real deal doesn't have one anyway...
It defaults to "ALL" which is 100% realistic for the TB series of a/c.

Permanent solution will be for me to eliminate the xml_sound code in the
gauge... Sorry!

Rick, you *must* be prepared to introduce negative trim almost immediately after
liftoff. This is a fairly high-performance a/c and is as nimble as a Ferrari!

You simply cannot expect to fly this like you would the really, really "tame"
default C172. Practice, practice, practice.

You might also try reducing power to about 75% right after retracting the gear
and flaps. This will allow you more time to get it trimmed for best climb speed
w/o going into a pitchup stall.

There are thousands (literally!) flying this model successfully. They can't
*all* just be "lucky..."

Rick, try to fly this plane from the VC instead of the 2D panel, this one of
the few planes where I like the VC and it feels quite real to fly it that
way.

Have to admit pitch is a bit hard to control, feels like there is not enough
range in the joystick, I found I use the trim buttons a lot. Landing is much
easier than takeoff. Crashed the first 2 takeoffs using the 2D panel, then
did another 2 circuits and landings from the VC (touchy on takeoff but
otherwise no problems) and it felt quite good.

Also feels a but underpowered, but I normally don't do GA aircraft - so I
don't have a lot of reference. But must say this one I like, as I said above
feels best from the VC (except for the left window frame which is very thick
and takes away a lot of visibility)

Panel is superb in the VC, a bit too large for my liking in the 2D view.

I did not notice the framerate issues mentioned by John Grabovski, mine
stayed solid around 20fps all the way (around Honolulu International).

Thanks Bill, for this exceptional effort. -- Oscar

You have to remember that people who watch Fox and listen to AM talk
radio aren't what you'd call "critical thinkers." They don't call
themselves "Dittoheads" for nothing. --Fox Attorney Dori Hanswirth.

The Wright Flyer, that's tame. It tames me right into the ground every
time. ;-)

well its back to school on this one. When I get the Wright Bros plane
across the channel then I'll try this more difficult one!! Up at 61 knots,
Gear up, oi! watch that climb, back off stick -quickly now, trim, throttle
75%, trim again, watch the roll, straighten, pull back on stick!, hold it,
throttle throttle!!!!... too late!! I had no hands left or time to consider
other factors but hopefully I'll succeed eventually. Sob

Don
