| Hello folks, Hmmm..not one single reply to my last post. Is there really no one with any ideas or experience with the problem I am having? I can't think of anything I haven't covered. My aircraft are uncontrollable, pitching and yawing violently and constantly, even with no weather at all. I am running FS 2004 with LA Megascenery, but have to same problem without Megascenery. I have an AMD 1700+ with 1 gig RAM and a Radeon 9600 pro all in wonder video card. All my drivers for everything are up to date and working properly. My CH Products yoke and pedals have new drivers and are freshly calibrated with Ch Products own software. Last night I uninstalled and reinstalled FS 2004 and Megascenery with no improvement. I am running Windows XP. I just spent close to $1000 to upgrade my computer for the sim, and now it is not flyable at all. Very frustrating to say the least. Any help greatly appreciated. Dean Fournier Ottawa, Ontario P.S. How do I display my frame rate? |

I feel with you but can't help you with the main problem. Press Shift+Z twice to show your frame rate. "Dean Fournier" <headdown@rogers.com> schreef in bericht news:PgOKb.15149$AAe1.1543@news01.bloor.is.net.cab le.rogers.com... any anything my Products Products |

At least now I can see that I have between 30 and 60 fps as I am wrestling this bucking bronco Cessna 182. It is ridiculously hard to control. It is like flying in EXTREME turbulence all the time. Press Shift+z twice to get frame rates. As for wonky planes,it doesnt seem to be your puter, but the inputs from controllers.Only thing I can think of,is to find every old driver for the yoke etc that you can and keep trying different ones till it works (this is pretty feeble I know, but is all I can think of) And at least I replied.................lol "Dean Fournier" <headdown@rogers.com> wrote in message news:PgOKb.15149$AAe1.1543@news01.bloor.is.net.cab le.rogers.com... any anything my Products Products |

Start with Shift-Z and check winds. Press Shift-Z again and check frame rate. Check your elevator pitch is it in the TO position? What aircraft are you flying? There is going to be some yaw when you take off and you may be overcorrecting. Search the google newsgroups or whatever is your preference for something like: "FS2004 take off out of control" A quick 2 second search turned up this: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...ition=us&threa dm=dtsbkvsd6ub1jeca9uig65isa7nklm93kb%404ax.com&rn um=4&prev=/groups%3Fq%3DFS 2004%2Btake%2Boff%2Bout%2Bof%2Bcontrol%26hl%3Den%2 6lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3 DUTF-8%26edition%3Dus%26selm%3Ddtsbkvsd6ub1jeca9uig65is a7nklm93kb%25404ax.co m%26rnum%3D4 -- .... Hi Carl, My frame rate is good - around 30 - 60 fps. My trim is in take off position, and it is much worse than just the normal yaw at takeoff. I'm a real world private pilot, and am ready for that. I am flying the Cessna 182, and it is out of control for the whole flight, not just at takeoff. It will pitch almost vertical, I will wrestle it back down with full and sustained control pressure, only to have it bank hard 90 degrees one way then the other. It is a constant violent, unrelenting battle to keep it upright. I have flown FS2004 before my upgrade and it ran okay. Not great, but light years ahead of what I have now, $1000 in upgrades later. I had no luck with your thread - it was empty. I'll do a search as you suggested though. Thanks! If you are using a "Saved" flight for start up or have changed the default......... Try loading the MS default start up flight and see if it still occurs. Select a Flight / "Other" from top menu / "Default Flight" from bottom menu. Failing that try ditching you FS9.cfg file and let it rebuild on Start-Up. Set your realism settings to easy and also check the sensitivities for the yoke and pedals. Some times if they are too sensitive planes will behave close to what you describe. Other than that I dont know. Bill "Dean Fournier" <headdown@rogers.com> wrote in message news:PgOKb.15149$AAe1.1543@news01.bloor.is.net.cab le.rogers.com... any anything my Products Products |

Good morning Dean; "Dean Fournier" <headdown@rogers.com> wrote in message news:PgOKb.15149$AAe1.1543@news01.bloor.is.net.cab le.rogers.com... any anything Sounds like the Avro Arrow simulator. It only worked properly after its RW counterpart was flying. my Products Products Silly question, but are the calibrations stable, no spiking? Aside from a very slow frame rate or max turbulence, try the simulator with everything set to minimum or easy. Ensure Auto Rudder is unchecked. Also, check X-Y-Z axis sensitivies and movements to ensure that a little movement on your part isn't a lot of movement on the control surfaces. Set them to nearly dead and try that. The only other advice from an operator point of view is very gentle movements, but you likely know and do that. I'd be ticked, too. If all else fails, check the connections although any problems should make themselves apparent during a calibration. Unfortunately, you haven't mentioned in detail what you did cover, so it leaves us guessing as to what's left. Shft-Z has a cycle mode which displays frame rates, general flight info, and off. Cheers, John |
