| Sorry. A while ago, I was asking about my new mother board problems with my M$ Sidewinder FFB Pro with a gameport connector. My new motherboard doesn't seem to support it. Katy said that the Gameport - USB converter words, but someone else said it doesn't. Sorry, but a bit of info/feedback is appreciated. :-) I am longing to fly again. -- ======== Thanks..... Jarod |

>Sorry. I said it doesn't AFAIK, someone else said it did, I don't know what to recommend other than using a sound card with a gameport and knocking on wood or getting another stick :-( --- All the Best Katy Pluta, FS_MVP FS FAQ at http://www.simflight.com Visit Project Magenta! http://www.projectmagenta.com |

Hi Jarod, As I posted last time, that converter worked when I installed Xp Pro on my brother's computer at Xmas, and the (same) joystick worked fine, as did the FF wheel and pedals. There was one problem, though - he found he had to battle it out with his son for a turn on the computer! :-)) Regards, John "Jarod (the puppy)" <dog_kennel_alias@zeta.org.au> wrote in message news:B2.v1.2U2WJvibUweypQg.NR@zeta.org.au... |

Yeah, I appreciate it is a bit of a sticky situation and I didn't mean to drop you in it. Thanks though for the info. It doesn't hurt to double check. ;-) -- ======== Thanks..... Jarod |

How much $$$$? ;-) I need this info so when I go to my local shop I know what to ask for. As Katy said, a cheap sound card would solve my problem too. So depending on which is less, I would be wise (?) to go with that one. -- ======== Thanks..... Jarod |

Hi Jarod, I'm not sure, as my brother already had it. I imagine it's called a Gameport>USB Adapter... May be best to take your stick with you, and ask their opinion on which is better/cheaper?
