If you consider that they reckon the military computers are usually five to ten years ahead of the civilian ones; imagine what FS2004 COULD be like tomorrow if stuff was de-classified. We will be laughing at FS2004 in two or three years I am sure. If my wallet is spared that long! :-( --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Salut, Many of us have had plenty of enjoyable hours, years ago, the nose in front of FS 4, and it was a lot of fun too. ![]() I remember having seen a flight sim (on large screen) running on a Silicon Graphics, ~10 years ago, at an "Imagina" (3D International Forum) in Monaco. It was far better than what FS2k4 is ! (far more expensive too) -- Filipoff |

I was just annoyed that I couldn't fly around the world, the scenery (or lack thereof) outside the US made it surreal flying anywhere else. And, I had to navigate with VOR/NDBs just to fly from Chicago to Seatlle/San Francisco. But, it was a great feeling when you reached your intended destination, lining up with the runway took a few flybys! :-) Bob |

"Victor West" <victor_west2000@yahoo.co.uk> wrote Sheep maybe. Hopefully to where Looking Glass Studios brought us in September of 1999 with Flight Unlimited III. I am about to install 2004 and will be pleasantly surprised if Microsoft has done anything like that. Flight Simulator 98 was a dog IMO. Flight Simulator 2000 was garbage even according to the sheep. Maybe Microsoft was in a rush trying to copy Flight Unlimited III. Have fun anyway. |

I am still using FS98 because my pc is pretty old and cannot handle the newer games. I have a pretty large aircraft library, and I have done some repaints. -Eldorado59 "Bob The Builder" <lapilot.nospam@wol.co.za> wrote in message news:es5g40pol8029fmlr6t8kcb907ov8lb50o@4ax.com... |
