Maybe a close inspection of these parameters will reveal where Finnish and
English (US) share a setting that is different in Danish. E.g. a quick
glance revealed that Danish, contrary to the other two, uses leading zero in
time format.

When I first heard about this work-around, my first guess was that it had
something to do with comma vs. period, but clearly this isn't the case.
