| I have just downloaded an English Electric Lightening from FSDome.com. No 2d Cockpit No 3d Cockpit. Not even a Panel.cfg Win XP athlo1.2 Geoforce m420 64Mb 512DDRam What is it with FS9 and the up and coming designers. Why don't these new planes work properly. I had/have exact;ly the same trouble with the MelJet load of things (hows' it poing Donbutts) Frankly it is beginning to annoy me more than somewhat. Peter Don't tell me I can't - tell me how I can! |

If you go to http://www.simair2000.fsnet.co.uk/ and look on there Top Choice page you will find that they have the aircraft (ee_light.zip) AND panel (eelt_pnl.zip) for that aircraft. Fred |

Uhhh.....what did you pay for that file? Ever think about what a huge undertaking it is to design a 3D model of an aircraft, AND a working 2D panel, AND a working 3D panel??? Assholes like you that are turning designers away from the hobby. Matt "PeterT" <oops@nota.what> wrote in message news:dn8i40dn2tsu0mmcd7ajrbm37t00kvf7gv@4ax.com... |

Don't you think that sounds better than calling someone you've never met an asshole? I would be interested to see if you'd say that to him if you were Face To Face. I'll put my money on - "probably not". Methinks you secretly admire the symmetry that your unbroken nose provides. Try to be a little more civil to fellow simmers, lest they begin to think of you as you term them. And, by the way - I totally appreciate the effort that freeware developers put into this hobby, but the dialog should never descend to the low level that you've demonstrated. Hi Dave, I'm with you, mate - people should think rather than blurt!! Pity Matt didn't take the time to research your posts, and find out how well-considered they are. Over to you Matt - what DOES it take, and where can we see your work? Regards, John <blave@nospam.com> wrote in message news:ropi40tufstp85rc39oo6uues6q0gpdnho@4ax.com... |

I'd ask for a refund if I was you..... Oh, you didn't pay anything for it.... If I was the author or the software, after reading your comment I'd think to myself, why do I bother.... If you took the trouble to read the information at www.fsdome.com you would have seen the sentence that says, and I quote; The panel is not included in this file. If you want to know how you can, then a visit to http://www.microsoft.com/games/fligh...nloads_sdk.asp will provide all the answers. Graham It's better for people to think you are a fool, than to open your mouth and prove it beyond all reasonable doubt. |

I have already posted my apology to the group elswhere but I will repeat it here. Matt - your sentiments might be listened to if better expressed. The rest of you are more than right and I now feel the heel I probably would have called myself if I had bothered to think.# For the rest of the comments 'I am' learning to do aircraft - but I am totally non technical in the artisitic and programming stage. I can build and install a computer but I couldn't draw one to save my cobblers. 3DMax and AFDS2 I am finding so complicated it is driving me round the bend but I will persevere. The SDK's I have just downloaded a few and will be trying them out (but I bet I become a cropper before too long). I suppose I am getting so spoiled by the brilliant aeroplanes that it is possible to download that when one comes across one that does not live up to promise (especially if you have searched for moons to find an example) it is a shame. Anyway - apologies once more and I will try to curb my criticsm until I know better. Thanks Fred - now bin there and got it. Did you know that if you do a search for that zip at simair it says 'not found'! This is part of what I find frustrating 'cos if I had found that site and done a search I would never have known they had what I wanted. I know I expressed myself badly but if I worked to these standards !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
