Default FS9 basic question

I've just returned to this forum after a long absence, and browsing hasn't
given me the answer, so please bear with me, folks. The question is "What
is FS9"?

Just another name for FS2004. It is the ninth in the series I think. Also,
it is the title of the directory that FS2004 puts onto your HD.

Just another name for MS FS2004.

This question has been asked many times, a quick search on Google should
give an in-depth answer.

It's better for people to think you are a fool, than to open your mouth and
prove it beyond all reasonable doubt.

If you don't ask, you don't learn and that's what News Groups are for. So
thank you SpDigby because as a matter of fact I didn't know either! Never
mind the superior comments of some guys who also didn't know much at one
time and had to ask, but have short ungrateful memories.

Davie, you are absolutely right. In my browsing, I thought it meant a 1999
version. I have FS2002 and never made the connection to FS2004. I am
saying this because I ask these kinds of questions too.

Regards
Dave C.

My news server shows one such answer. The rest are perfectly
factual/helpful IMO without a hint of superiority.

Default FS9 basic question

Thanks to all for the kind responses.

Graham, sorry to have irritated you. I use Google a lot, but just didn't
think of it for this "mission". I have now investigated a pageworth of
hits - most didn't give the game away, but one led me to an Amazon ad for
the product, from which I could have inferred the answer with a fair degree
of confidence.

Interestingly, all the user reviews on the Amazon site which compared FS9
with FS2k2 said that it was inferior, including one man with a
mega-performing PC. This may be opening old wounds, but would anyone care
to comment before I decide whether to purchase?

My current PC is Athlon 1700, 256 Mb DDR, Asus Mobo KT333, Matrox Millenium
G400. It is good with 2k2, but is FS9 more demanding?
