Default 04 clouds

One thing I have never had since flying '04 is a solid carpet of white
fluffy clouds below me. I used to get it all the time in FS2002 but to date
have never seen it yet in '04.

Anyone get this effect....... It may be just coincidence, or Active Sky or
some setting in FSUIPC on my set up.

........... just wondering.

Martin

There have been a few threads about this issue in other forums.
Apparently, MS changed the way an overcast layer appears to improve
performance. Most notably, you will never get a solid layer directly
below you.

I am unaware of whether someone hacked together a resolution to this
issue, but if there is one, a program like ActiveSky or even FSUIPC.dll
would implement the fix.
