Default FS2004 and computer crashing

My computer will randomly crash while playing FS2004. It may be 5 min or 30
min. I believe it is driver related. I play NASCAR 2003, BF1942 and others
without any problem. I am using the 45.23 drivers. If I update the drivers
I lose FPS with NASCAR 2003, so I would like to keep using the 45.23's. Is
anyone else using these drivers, and if so, any problems? Thanks.

Jeff

You have answered your own question, change drivers. Losing FPS in another
application is out of the scope of the problem for FS9.

Stability first, optimizations later. Rinse, repeat.

Jeff,

You should be able to overcome this by creating two configurations in your
OS, one for each driver set. Then just select the one you want on boot-up.
Not sure about this, but I think its possible to change over by "logon as
different user".

Default FS2004 and computer crashing

Thanks for the info. I tried creating a hardware profile so when the
computer boots up I would pick either NASCAR or FS9 configuration to boot
to. This is my first time trying this so I may have done something wrong.
Anyway, while in the NASCAR profile I installed the 45.23 drivers and the
restarted back that that profile to complete the installation. I then
restarted the computer and chose the FS9 profile. However when windows
loaded that profile also had the 45.23 drivers instead of the 53.03. So I'm
not sure this can be done. I also tried something similar with user
log-ins. I created a user and made different driver installations under
each, but it changed for both. If I am missing something please advise.
