Default FS9 crashes to the desktop when flying in the Swiss Alps

Have this problem, which I can reproduce. When I fly into the area near the
Matterhorn / Sion / Zermatt, FS9 crashes to the desktop and needs to be
restarted. There are no FS9 or Win2000 error messages when it happens.

When it stills works I noticed 2-3 weird spike type formations close to the
Matterhorn, suggesting a mesh error.

Have Italy, French and German mesh by Peitro Mauri and Swiss landclass 2004
by Ernst Bosshard installed. Seems not to crash with the Italy mesh
disabled, but I'm not certain if that is the cause.

Would like to hear from others who have experienced similar problems in the
Swiss alps area.

Cheers and Thanks, Oscar

Salut,

I'm not a detective, but i came to a similar conclusion as you.
Further more, i noticed sometimes possible errors with planes too,
but still unable to find out the responsible. He is hiding well and
not always active, the silly blighter. :-(

It's a FS2004 bug.
Look here for a possible solution:

Thanks for the link - at least the problem is known and defined

Following your link did a Goggle search with keywords fs2004+sion+bug and
got a total of 5 links referencing the problem.

Cheers, Oscar
