800 Mhz is pretty low, but you should be ok if you have a good GPU (and no,
intel extreme graphics or Geforce 2 MX does not classify) and some ram (I say
384 Mb Min)

Also 800 Mhz is pretty good on most systems except the Celerys and Cyrixes
(the evil C's) then 800 Mhz doesn't seem like so much any more.

Keep in mind War III is mostly CPU based.

But if you checkout Anandtech it looks like the Duron 1.6 Ghz is the new XP
1700 in terms of performance and overclockability. I hear you can take it to
2 Ghz pretty easily just on air, and it has a barton core. Upgrading has
never been cheaper. (Of course the extra cache of the true barton, IE not
applebred, makes it highly appealing although the new hard lock of the
multipliers mandates more expensive ram for overclocking of the 2500 making it
slightly less appealing, though I think the 2800 is the real sweet spot right
now.)

Of course you could always go with intel EE chip, it is their new value chip.
Go to the link and you will get the joke

duron 850, gf2mx400, 512ram, 1024x768x16, medium details(standard
unchanged), runs pretty good (except BIG 2v2 or more battles)
