Default How to "Install" Install Maps?

Just got WarCraft3 Battle Chest (w/Frozen Throne) and downloaded the
two patches and the zipped Maps.

Questions....

1. I could only install the Frozen Throne patch...did that update
both?

2. Where do I place the maps?...or is this something else I'll have to
pick up on? (I'm thinking like putting them in some folder like you
do fo Sims).

Thanks!

The expansion patches usually patch both the original and the expansion
versions. If you can only install one of the two patches, then both should
be patched without problem.

BTW, you can verify the patch by checking the version number in the
bottom-right corner of the screen.

You just place them in the Maps sub-directory. If you want to seperate the
offical and unofficial maps, just create a new subdirectory and store your
downloads there.

Yes, if you had both installed and ran the Frozen Throne patch.

Put your ROC maps in the maps directory, put TFT maps in the maps/frozen
throne subdirectory.

Great, thanks. I noticed that there is also a Sceanario folder in each
of the Maps directories with a few WIII scenario files...what's the
difference between these two files? Thansk again!

Scenario folder usually used for storing customized maps (like tower
defence), and Maps folder for plain melee maps.
(You can see that map is customized by gear icon in map selection)
